- Lagi pengen nonton...ada dua film yang mau banget ditonton, tapi belum pernah nemu vcd ataupun dvd-nya...Ini judul dan sinopsis yang gue baca:
THREE SEASONS
Story: In the early hours of the New Vietnam, four strangers in Saigon find themselves suddenly expatriates in their own country, passed over by "improvements" of Western progress. As the hauntingly beautiful old city of Saigon fades into the shadows of neon lights, Coca Cola signs, plastic lotus flowers and other symbols of Western invasion, these character's paths begin to cross.
Stories merge to paint a portrait of a country in transition, the last moments of a culture which, through a second invasion by its former enemy, will never be the same again: Kien An (Ngoc Hiep Nguyen) is a living memory of the old ways living life seemingly unchanged by the passage of time; Lan (Diep Bui) has reinvented herself as someone who can survive in the cold-hearted capitalist world; Hai (Don Doung) bridges the two worlds on his cyclo; James Hager (Harvey Keitel) is a reminder of the country's ravaged past; and young Woody is a symbol of its future.

TORTILLA SOUP
A film inspired by director Ang Lee's EAT DRINK MAN WOMAN, a Mexican-American master chef living in LA with his three daughters prepares a magnificent dinner each Sunday night to bring his family together. Sunday dinner is a time to make major announcements, to share ideas, and to air the basic frustrations of daily life. It's also a time to critique Dad's cooking because, although he still succeeds in presenting beautiful, mouth-watering dishes, he has lost his sense of taste and his food does not have the same wonderful flavor that it did once. Outside of Sunday dinner, the members of the family live their own lives. Martin, the father (Hector Elizondo), works in a restaurant and entertains the eccentric mother (Raquel Welch) of his close friend and neighbor Yolanda (Constance Marie). His youngest daughter, Maribel (Tamara Mello) debates whether to go to college and finds a new love interest in Brazilian stud Andy (Nikolai Kinski). The eldest daughter, Carmen (Jacqueline Obradors), is a headstrong, forthright business executive. Stuck in the middle is Letitcia (Elizabeth Pena), a prim school teacher who wants nothing more than to find true love.
